Imi pare rau , dar desi vorbesc engleza fluent si scriu destul de OK nu ma bag la traduceri.
"The earth is flat, and anyone who disputes this claim is an atheist who deserves to be punished." [Muslim religious edict, 1993, Sheik Abdel-Aziz Ibn Baaz, Supreme religious authority, Saudi Arabia] ------------------------------------------------------------- I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. Stephen Roberts ------------------------------------------------------------- "The hypothesis is pretty; its only fault is that it is neither demonstrated nor demonstrable. Who does not see that this is purely arbitrary fiction that puts nothingness as existing and proposes nothing more than simple noncontradiciton?" (ibid., p. 169) (Galileo was here referring to the philosophers of the time who refused to give up the idea that the moon's surface was smooth so they said that although it appeared to have mountains and craters, it was really encased in smooth transparent crystal--obviously his statement can apply to a whole host of ideas that people create in order to hang on to tradition rather than grasp reality)-- Galileo Galilei ------------------------------------------------------------- "The greatest tragedy in mankind's entire history my be the hijacking of morality by religion. However valuable - even necessary - that may have been in enforcing good behavior on primitive peoples, their association is now counterproductive. Yet at the very moment when they should be decoupled, sanctimonious nitwits are calling for a return to morals based on superstition." - Arthur C. Clarke, "Arthur C. Clarke's 'Credo' ", Skeptical Inquirer (Vol 25, No. 5, Sept/Oct 2001, pp 61-63) Acest topic a fost editat de atheos: 1 Oct 2003, 10:40 AM -------------------- Just cos I don't know what happens after I die , I should not be an ignorant coward and invent story's about heaven and the virtues of my highly moral life , just so I can sleep better at night.
We are what we are - intelligent animals and for one I am very proud of that . If I have to believe in someone I chose to belive in myself and if it is in my nature to worship I chose to worship nature and every second of life I have on this planet -Atheos |
