Eu imi amintesc o replica din Orele, care ma obsedeaza. Tipa pe balcon cu iubitul ei, indragostiti se saruta. Peste timp povesteste despre scena: "I thought it was the beginning of happiness. It wasn't the beginning, it was happiness". Mereu ma impresioneaza perspectiva asta retrospectiva. Ca mereu proiectam fericirea in viitor, ca si cum acum, chiar daca ni se intampla lucruri extraordinare, suntem doar pe cale de a deveni fericiti, ca si cum fericirea nu exista niciodata in prezent. Avem nevoia teribila de a fantasma la un viitor fericit si uitam fericirea in clipa.
